Working Hard or Working Smart
The success of the person is determined by the work he does as it is the way to take him to the next level. Now the question is which way to go about. Should it be only hard work that takes us ahead or is it smart work that takes us far.
In my view the hard work is necessary to
In terms of determination and persistence hard work is important but confined achievements can be attained with it. Working hard is not enough as it might not bring the best result of a problem or a situation. You get limited understanding of the possibilities you can explore with this approach.
In contrast smart work is really the need of the hour it is the way to get more work done and reach you goals quickly. It saves your time and allows you to be more organized and learn a lot. Doing smart work allows you to save time for other things which you might not get by doing hard work like, exercise, spending time with family etc.
It is true to some extent based on experience that I have but working smart requires you to have sound understanding of the domain or field that you are currently functional in. Smart work brings lots of recognition from the peers and society & allows you to take growth in the company with pace whereas hard work does not require utilization of brain activity to the extent that smart work does.
At work, we come across hard workers, who only focus on getting their work done, but sadly, they don’t get the proper recognition from their bosses. This is because they forget to do important things like building good relationships and making their voices heard.
To cut it short it can be identified that both hard and smart work approach is the key for true success. But the connection is like a building block you have to work hard to harness the skill that will allow you to do smart work later down the line. So create smart goals and objectives and device your working approach accordingly to get the outcome you desire and do not simply focus on your work but get to know people too; try to enhance your interpersonal skills and time management skills and you will get recognition quickly.
